Lyndsay hears on a daily basis too many people undergoing enormous amounts of stress and strain in their lives, but with no place to go to. The result is suicide, broken homes, and dysfunctional relationships. Her passion lies in helping everyone have healthier relationships. When she says call me up and let me come in to your organization and do a free 15 minute to 2 hour presentation on stress management--take her up on it. She means business, and the information will blow you away in it's practicality, but in learning that you can begin making changes today to help you have a better tomorrow.
With military member's re-integrating into society after extended deployments, and time away from family--the material Lyndsay presents enables people to take responsibility and action to keep their relationships together. The result is less divorce, higher retrention and employability, and children being parented by both parents.
Lyndsay chose to train as a Mars Venus Coach, because the brand is recognizable in helping people have better quality relationships and build their marriages up (regardless if it's an okay marriage or one needing reinvigoration!). She chose Active Relationships material, because the material is research-based, and already is recognized by the military as a strengths-based program. Due to a highly mobile military lifestyle, Lyndsay has branched out on her own so that she can contract with local and federal government agencies to bring this highly effective resiliency material to each location her family is stationed. Lyndsay's drive, leadership, and ability to hold people accountable when implementing action plans comes from years of experience leading midshipmen at the United States Naval Academy and young marines as a Marine Corps combat engineer officer. Her discipline and determination for excellence is based on years of training her mind and body to push past perceived limits while competing in road and mountain bike racing, triathlons, and marathons.
She obtained her masters in counseling where Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society recognized her research, curriculum development, and passion for counseling. Lyndsay used cognitive neuroscience of change modality and solution-focused brief therapy for individual and group counseling at the elementary and high school levels, as well as mental health and substance abuse outpatient treatment centers. She enjoys working with military families whether it's educating or providing support to families with deployed family members.
Lyndsay also teaches life and resiliency skills using Active Relationships curriculum to singles, couples, and families--specializing in military families. Her theoretical approach to counseling and frequent moves as a military spouse led her to the Mars Venus Coaching system. It enables her to run her own coaching and consulting business, stay at home with her children, and her clientele is able to move with her. The Mars Venus brand aligns with her passion of promoting global awareness to help everyone achieve their absolute potential through accountability and education.
In 1992 at age 11, Lyndsay sat in her family's loft in Alaska with sun streaming through the window. She finished Dr. John Gray's Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus in one sitting. The explanations for gender communication differences to this day profoundly affect all of her relationships, because Lyndsay discovered at a young age good communication is the key to healthy personal and professional relationships. Lyndsay is part of Mars Venus Coaching to promote healthier communication between men and women. As the Corporate Media Relations expert she writes and publishes articles for Mars Venus Coaching to promote Dr. John Gray's interpretation of the latest cutting edge research.
She hopes spreading this information of living a balanced life will encourage people to alleviate stress from their lives by nourishing gender specific needs. The implications are dire if people ignore restoring balance. She hopes raising global awareness about the solutions available will inspire people to change.
Lyndsay excels at offering encouragement, creating and implementing 90 day action plans, and holding clients accountable to follow through on their actions. She enjoys coaching, because she puts the latest brain research into action. She explains brain plasticity to clients to help shift focus from the past, into living in the present. In the present clients learn new skills, identify how to make changes, and then take steps toward controlling the future of their dreams. The results make for profound changes in peoples' lives.
Lyndsay met her husband in 1998 while at the U.S. Naval Academy. They are happily married, raising their son, and adding to the family. When she is not playing with her family, coaching, or running her own business she is outside, teaching Sunday School at church, or at Zumba dancing! She is also a member of the Chamber of Commerce, International Coach Federation, and National Association of Professional Women. Her business is SWaM certified in Virginia, and she locally and federally contracts for the government.
